About CDS Department:

The Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS Exam) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy. The examination is usually held twice a year, in April and September. Successful candidates are admitted to the respective academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The notification for the examination is typically released in December and May.

   • Qualification: Passed/Appearing Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream at Any Recognized University.
2. Indian Naval Academy (32 Posts)
   • Qualification: Passed/Appearing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering at Any Recognized University.
3. Air Force (32 Posts)
   • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream with Physics, Mathematics in 10+2 Level OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
4. Officer Training Academy (Man/Woman)
   • Qualification: Passed/Appearing Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream at Any Recognized University.
